Eric Nowlin takes helm of Acklands-Grainger

W.W. Grainger Inc. (NYSE:GWW) announced that Eric Nowlin is now president of its Canadian subsidiary, Acklands-Grainger Inc., which sells industrial, safety, mechanical and electrical equipment. He will report to Mike Pulick, senior vice-president and president of Grainger International. Pulick was acting president of Acklands-Grainger after Sean O’Brien resigned as president in March, 2012.

The previous president of Acklands-Grainger, Sean O’Brien, resigned in March. The Canadian subsidiary is based in Richmond Hill, Ontario, about 25 kilometres north of downtown Toronto, while W.W. Grainger is based in Lake Forest, Illinois.

Nowlin joined W.W. Grainger in 2006 and his most recent job was vice-president of customer service. The firm said he plans to relocate to the greater Toronto area. Nowlin will report to Mike Pulick, senior vice-president and president of Grainger International. Pulick was acting president of Acklands-Grainger after O’Brien left.

Before he joined Grainger, Nowlin spent 20 years with Maytag. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
