EllisDon clinic to run May 19 to 26

MISSISSAUGA, ONT. — EllisDon has announced details of its COVID-19 Vaccination Pop-Up Clinic, set to launch at the firm’s Mississauga headquarters office building at 1004 Middlegate Rd. unit 1000 on May 19.

The clinic will be presented in partnership with Flynn, Modern Niagara and Central Ontario Building Trades and vaccinations will be by appointment only.

The clinic will be open to all EllisDon and partner employees, workers and their families within the same household who are 18 years of age and older who work, live or frequent the region of Peel.

The vaccination clinic will run from May 19 to May 26, on weekdays 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., including the Victoria Day long weekend.

“Getting through this pandemic is a shared responsibility,” said Steve Chaplin, vice-president of health, safety and environmental at EllisDon in a statement. “We are proud to do our part in helping to get our Peel essential workers, employees, partners and their families vaccinated to continue to keep our communities safe.”

To host a vaccination clinic, the provincial government and the local Public Health Unit must issue approvals. The current focus for mass vaccination clinics is in areas of hotspots and high community spread. EllisDon and their partners fall under both categories, the release stated.
