TORONTO — Three workplaces in Toronto were ordered to partially close recently after workers tested positive for COVID-19, Toronto Public Health reports.
The Moro Group Builders were ordered to partially close on May 27, Trenton Cold Storage Toronto on May 28 and Mitrex — Integrated Solar Technology on June 1.
There are currently 17 active outbreaks in community and workplace settings. The list was last updated on June 3.
The number of active outbreaks in workplace settings, which includes construction, offices, warehousing, shipping and distribution and manufacturing, stands at 15 as of June 1.
The closures were issued under the Section 22 order of the Health Protection and Promotion Act, which requires owners and operators of a workplace to notify Toronto Public Health as soon as they become aware of five or more individuals associated with their workplace who test positive for COVID-19 within a 14-day period.
