BARRIE — Barrie Police reported a workplace fatality at a construction site on Dunlop Street West in Barrie yesterday afternoon.
A Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development inspector was called to the site and the coroner also investigated.
Air Ornge flew to the site but was called off.
The ministry has indicated that the employer is North Steel. The ministry issued one requirement to the constructor, Bertram Construction, and the scene where the incident occurred is being held.
The ministry continues its investigation.
