More LTC spaces for Temiskaming Shores
The Ontario government announced today it is redeveloping and expanding Temiskaming Lodge, a long-term-care home in Temiskaming Shores in northern Ontario. The project, expected to be completed in spring 2023, will deliver 46 new spaces and 82 upgraded spaces for the community.
WSIB safety award deadline is Friday
The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board has issued a reminder that the deadline for submitting applications for the WSIB’s small business health and safety leadership awards is only two days away, with applications due by Friday, July 9. The top three businesses will receive gold, silver and bronze awards with prizes of $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000 and they will be recognized at a WSIB awards ceremony in November.

Rockwool opens West Virginia factory
Rockwool North America today announced it has begun commercial production of stone wool insulation products at its newest U.S. manufacturing facility, located in Jefferson County, West Virginia. The 460,000-square-foot factory produces Rockwool’s residential, commercial and industrial stone wool insulation and marks North America’s first post-pandemic increase in stone wool insulation manufacturing capacity.
