Julian Toy of Addiction Consultants in Recovery says he simply likes helping people.
A substance abuse professional trained in addictions and mental health, he is an alcoholic/addict in recovery since 2000. Put plainly, he believes the best training comes from someone who has been there.
Such is the reason why he’s made it his purpose to help employers and employees by providing fit for duty and drug and alcohol training for ICI constructors, HR and EH&S professionals.
The sector needs as many resources as it can get in order to be able to tackle what many have called “the other pandemic.”
In the final part of the Daily Commercial News and Journal of Commerce national series Cracks in the Foundation: Mental Health, Substance Use and Construction, the team examines what is currently available to those living with an addiction; what industry stakeholders think is being done and what can go further; and what impact it can have to know there is help.
