Pedestrian struck by cement truck succumbs to injuries

TORONTO — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a cement truck in Toronto Thursday morning (Nov. 18).

The incident occurred at 10 a.m. at the intersection of Dundas and Sherbourne streets, Toronto Police Operations reported. The driver remained on the scene.

The victim, who succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene, was in her 60s. According to reports, the woman used a wheelchair and was often seen in the area asking drivers for money.

The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
