TORONTO – Toronto police are investigating an incident in which four Toronto youths apparently took construction vehicles for a joyride.
Overnight Aug. 2, after midnight, the police were informed that four male youths were in the school yard at Huron Street Junior Public School near St. George Street and Lowther Avenue operating machinery onsite.
The school is the site of summer construction work.
The police spokesperson said the site had been left unlocked and the vehicles, identified in one report as Bobcats, were able to be turned on without a key.
The police have not identified any of the youths.
