BARRIE, ONT. – Barrie Police were on scene for a fatal motor vehicle collision at a construction site in the city’s downtown this morning.
According to media reports, the incident occurred after 10:30 a.m. when a truck delivering construction materials to a highrise jobsite on Mary Street between Dunlop and Simcoe Streets struck a pedestrian.
Mary Street was closed and the Barrie Police Traffic Unit investigated but the road has since reopened.
The Ministry of Labour is also investigating.
