Steel work is underway for the new Oakville transit facility in Oakville, Ont. PCL Constructors Inc. began the project — which will include a bus depo, offices, repair and storage areas — in February 2010. Completion is scheduled for February 2011.
Architects and prime consultants are IBI Group/Giffels Associates.
Subcontractors include: Pave Al (excavation/paving); Blue Ridge (shoring/caissons/formwork); Benson Steel (structural steel): Belmont (concrete); Limen Masonry Ltd.; Ash Mechanical; Naylor Electric and Flynn Canada Ltd. (roofing).
