An Ontario court has issued a final order approving the acquisition by JMC Steel Group Inc. of steel pipe and tubing manufacturer Lakeside Steel Inc., which operates a Welland, Ontario facility.
An Ontario court Thursday issued a final order approving the previously-announced acquisition by JMC Steel Group Inc. of steel pipe and tubing manufacturer Lakeside Steel Inc., which operates a Welland, Ontario facility.
The acquisition was made under an agreement dated Jan. 25. In a press release, Lakeside Steel announced the Ontario Superior Court of Justice has approved the arrangement.
In addition to its Welland facility, Lakeside has facilities in Thomasville, Alabama and Corpus Christi, Texas. Chicago-based JMC Steel is a steel tubular manufacturer with 12 facilities in the U.S. and Canada. Its products include steel hollow structural sections, standard pipe and electrical conduit.
