PHOTO: Tucker Hi-Rise continues work on X2 Condos in Toronto

Below-grade work progresses at the X2 Condos on Charles Street in Toronto.

Tucker Hi-Rise Construction Inc. is construction manager of the 49-storey, 560-unit project that will include fitness facilities, a library and lounge, a pool, retail space and six levels of underground parking. The owners are Great Gulf Homes and Lifetime Developments and completion is scheduled for early 2014. The project designed to meet LEED NC-1.0 Certification was designed by Wallman Architect Ltd.

Consultants are: Isherwood Associates (geostructural); Halcrow Yolles, a CH2M HILL company (structural); Able Engineering Inc. (mechanical/electrical) and Fluent Group Consulting Inc. (LEED). Subtrades include: Michaels Bros. Excavating; Anchor Shoring and Caissons Ltd.; Forma-Con (formwork/concrete); Lisi Mechanical (plumbing); Titan Mechanical Contracting (HVAC); Speedy Electric Contractor Ltd.; Allan Window Systems Ltd. and ThyssenKrupp Elevator Ltd.
