Quebec-based steel manufacturer, Canam Group Inc., announced that it has won $55-million in new contracts to supply steel for building, bridge and structural projects in Canada and the U.S.
Quebec-based steel manufacturer, Canam Group Inc., announced that it has won $55-million in new contracts to supply steel for building, bridge and structural projects in Canada and the U.S.
One of main agreements will be its $26-million contract with the State of Wisconsin to produce components for an overpass that is being built as part of the Memorial Drive Suamico project in Howard. Production is scheduled to start in March 2013 and delivered in January 2014.
The second contract is with the State of Massachusetts which is a joint project to replace the Fore River Bridge that connects the cities of Quincy and Weymouth.
In Quebec, the company will supply structural bearing for a multi-user dock project in the Port of Sept-lies as well as an $8-million contract in Montreal to design and produce joists, girders, welded wide-flange columns and steel deck.
The parts are slated to be delivered from January to May 2013.
