TORONTO

Coco Group has announced its recent acquisition of Russell Redi-Mix Concrete, Langenburg Redi-Mix Ltd., and Roblin Redi-Mix Ltd., commonly referred to as the Russell Group (RRMC), located in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

“Coco Group is extremely pleased with the team we are inheriting, and under the continued leadership of Ken Magnowski and Sam Brown, the company is poised to strengthen and grow our presence in western Canada,” said Jenny Coco, CEO of Coco Group, in a statement.

On Sept. 10, Coco Group completed the purchase of RRMC, one of Saskatchewan and Manitoba’s largest privately-owned, integrated heavy civil construction companies. RRMC provides heavy civil contracting; aggregates production, supply and hauling; excavation grading and site preparation services; roadway construction and rehabilitation; railway works; ready-mix concrete production and supply; as well as owning and, or operating over 25 licenced gravel pits.

“Our heavy civil construction expertise now spans from Alberta to Quebec and with this purchase we are able to service a new diversified client base ranging from the potash industry, municipal and provincial governments, expanding our country’s transportation infrastructure network,” said Rocky Coco, president of Coco Group, in a statement.
