LONDON, ONT.
The Richard Ivey Building at Western University has officially opened its doors, welcoming over 1,500 students, faculty and staff into the 274,000-square foot space.
The new state-of-the-art business education facility aims to establish a culture of collaboration, bringing together HBA, MBA, MSc and PhD programs under one roof.
“It became clear to us several years ago that we needed an inspiring, world-class facility that would reunite the Ivey community spread over five different locations if we were to continue to attract the best and brightest students and faculty,” said Richard Ivey Building Dean Carol Stephenson.
The building features the 640-seat BMO Financial Group Auditorium, the C.B. “Bud” Johnston Library, a dining hall, breakout rooms, classrooms and leading edge teaching and learning technology.
The $110-million, LEED Gold facility was designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects with construction managed by EllisDon Corporation.
