TORONTO—Ontario has approved a hospital expansion project at the newly opened Peel Memorial Centre in Brampton.
The project, announced earlier this month, will add more inpatient services, including complex continuing care and rehabilitation for patients and their families.
Ontario has spent $451 million on the new Peel hospital, which opened in April. The facilities included support to the emergency department such as urgent care, same-day surgeries, programs for new mothers and mental health supports.
