Construction is moving along on the Humber College Centre for Technology Innovation (CTI) North Campus in Toronto.
The new five-storey facility being constructed by Bird Construction will have open flexible spaces, interactive makerspaces, multimedia and design studios, state-of-the-art software and equipment, and a digital visualization room. The project is targeting LEED Platinum and it was designed by Perkins + Will. Consultants are: Noram Glass Corporation (windows); Thornton Tomasetti (structural); MCW (M&E); exp Services Inc. (civil); and Fluent Group Consulting Engineering (LEED). Subtrades include: Preform Ltd. (formwork/ concrete); Steelcon (structural steel); Bering Mechanical (plumbing & HVAC); Urban Electrical Contractors; Smith Brothers Contracting (drywall); and Bothwell Accurate (roofing/cladding).
