Four Seasons Montreal to launch June 1

MONTREAL — Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has announced its Four Seasons Hotel Montreal project is on track for a spring opening with reservations being taken for a June 1 opening.

The 169-room facility is being built downtown in the city’s Golden Mile Square, connected to Holt Renfrew Ogilvy, noted a recent release.

The hotel will include the Marcus restaurant, the first Canadian establishment by chef Marcus Samuelsson. Other features will include a spa and fitness centre, a skylit indoor pool and a fifth-floor ballroom with outdoor terrace.

Architects are Lemay and Sid Lee Architecture, both of Montreal, and hotel interiors are by Paris-based Gilles & Boissier, with restaurant and lounge by Montreal firm Atelier Zebulon Perron.

A community of 18 Four Seasons Private Residences will also be located in the same building, with interiors by Montreal-based architect and designer Philip Hazan.

The announcement was timed to alert visitors who will gather for the Montreal Grand Prix, set for June.

“We are so excited to join with our community in welcoming Formula One fans from around the world for the 2019 Montreal Grand Prix taking place June 7 to 9. The event virtually takes over the city, and we’ll be right there in the middle of it,” said Four Seasons general manager Goncalo Monteiro in the statement.
