RioCan team launches 62-storey Yorkville tower

TORONTO — RioCan Living, Metropia and Capital Developments have announced the launch of their 11 Yorkville project, a 62-storey mixed-used tower that will rise in Toronto’s Yorkville community.

The building will have 593 residential suites ranging from 400 to 1,140 square feet, stated an Aug. 27 release. The site is located across the street on Yorkville Avenue from the new Four Seasons Hotel & Residences and is said to be one of the last parcels available for new construction in the neighbourhood.

Land assembly by RioCan and Metropia began in 2014. Capital Developments, which recently partnered with RioCan and Metropia on E2 Condos, then joined the joint venture.

The development received zoning approval last month. Sales will begin in the fall.

Plans include a 14-metre-wide park designed by Janet Rosenberg and Studio that will front the building’s retail space, connecting Cumberland Street to Yorkville Avenue.

Sweeny&Co Architects worked on design and interiors were designed by Cecconi Simone.
