ALTERRA — Expansion at the Mont Tremblant resort in Quebec will add a new summit, to be called Timber, new trails and a new quad lift.

MONT-TREMBLANT, QUE. — Alterra Mountain Company has announced plans to spend $8.8 million at the Mont Tremblant ski resort in Quebec on infrastructure for a new summit with new trails to be created.

The new summit will be called Timber, and there will be a new beginner area created on Versant Soleil, stated a March 10 release.

In addition to the $1.4 million to be spend on the beginner area, maintenance projects representing $5.4 million will also be carried out on the ski lifts and buildings, including renovation of the washrooms next to Cafe Johannsen.

To prepare for the opening of the new Timber Summit for the 2021-22 winter season, $2 million will be dedicated to new infrastructure.
