HALIFAX — The Sutton Place Hotel Halifax marks its official opening today (Sept. 8) with special deals for early-bird guests.
Sutton Place Hotels partnered with Argyle Developments on the project. Among the contractors for the project was local firm RCS Construction, based in nearby Bedford.
The hotel is located with the new Nova Centre in downtown Halifax and features 262 rooms. Amenities include the Chop Steakhouse & Bar, ceiling-high windows and fitness facilities.
Still to be completed is an outdoor patio which will include a hot tub and fire pits.
“Our entire organization is so excited about the opening of this fabulous hotel. Our partner, Joe Ramia, has been wonderful to work with and together we have built a beautiful hotel of which all of Halifax can be proud,” said Robert Pratt, president of Sutton Place Hotels, in a statement.
“We are so grateful to our team, led by general manager Mark Schaay, for the incredible job they have done preparing for this opening under extraordinary conditions.”
