Medical tech firm eyes McMaster Innovation Park
Medical technology firm CCRM today announced it has signed a letter of intent with Hamilton’s McMaster Innovation Park to develop a biomanufacturing campus on the site focused on regenerative medicine-based technologies and cell and gene therapies. The partners will now collaborate to develop a business case around the construction and operation of what is being termed a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization.

Champion Iron to double capacity of Quebec’s Bloom Lake mine
Champion Iron Limited today announced it has received the financing necessary to proceed with its Bloom Lake Phase II expansion project. The mining complex is located 13 kilometres north of Fermont, Que. The refinancing increases the firm’s existing credit from US$200 million to US$400 million and permits Champion’s subsidiary Quebec Iron Ore Inc. to launch construction to double the capacity of Bloom Lake.
