ETOBICOKE, ONT. — A new bus terminal has opened at the Kipling GO Station which will connect MiWay bus service to Kipling GO beginning Jan. 4, 2021, the Ontario government recently announced.
Construction is currently underway to complete a significant transformation of Kipling GO Station into a major transit hub.
MiWay buses are temporarily using the Islington TTC subway station during the construction at Kipling GO Station, indicates a release, adding with the completion of the new bus terminal, MiWay customers will be able to fully access Kipling station’s new bus terminal and transfer directly to GO rail services and TTC.
“We are excited to provide our customers with better transit connections at Kipling GO Station,” said Phil Verster, CEO of Metrolinx in a statement. “Our riders will have one convenient location to transfer between GO rail, GO bus in the new year, and MiWay bus service, along with access to the TTC subway and bus – this bus terminal is a major step towards the fully integrated Kipling Transit Hub.”
