Work continues at the Scala condominium and townhouse development in Toronto.
The owners are Tridel/Toronto Community Housing and Deltera Inc. is the construction manager. The project includes one 17-storey condominium plus mezzanine with approximately 500 suites and the replacement of the existing rental townhouses managed by the Toronto Community Housing that will have 115 rental replacement units, 48 units which will be located in two 3-storey townhomes and 67 units will be located in a four-storey apartment building. Amenities include a fitness centre, party room, private dining, catering kitchen, theatre room, games room, change areas with saunas and steam rooms. The 16th floor will have a rooftop landscaped terrace with an infinity pool, hot tub, fireside pool lounge, cabanas, chaise lounges, firepit lounge, an outdoor yoga area and barbecue stations. The project was designed by Wallman Architects Inc. Consultants are Jablonsky Ast & Partners (structural), Novatrend Engineering Ltd. (mechanical/electrical) and EQ Building Performance (LEED).
