Structural steel work has reached the top floor at SmartCentre’s new SmartStop self-storage rental facility on Milner Avenue in Toronto.
The project, by SmartCentres Real Estate Investment Trust in a joint venture arrangement with SmartStop Asset Management, LLC (SmartStop), will consist of one five-storey building with approximately 900 storage units. The owner is SmartCentres REIT Inc. and the general contractor is Cecchini Group Inc. The project was designed by Petroff Partnership Architects. Consultants are: Mirkwood Engineering (structural); Quasar Consulting Group (mechanical/electrical); Terraprobe Ltd. (geotechnical); Counterpoint Engineering (civil); and MHBC Planning Inc. (landscape).
