Work is underway for the Burke Condos on Sherbourne Street in Toronto.
The owner is Concert Properties and the construction manager is Bird Construction. The project includes one 53-storey mixed-use tower with 501 suites with a two-storey podium and four levels of underground parking. There will also be the relocation and restoration of the existing heritage home to contain retail spaces. Amenities will include a main floor cafe lounge, party room, games room with terrace, theatre and music room, a fitness centre and an outdoor terrace with lounge area and barbecues. The architect for the project is IBI Group. Consultants are Stephenson Engineering Ltd. (structural), M.V. Shore Associates (1993) Ltd. (mechanical), Trace Engineering Ltd. (electrical) and Janet Rosenberg & Studio (landscape).
