TORONTO — The Canada Lands Company, a federal Crown corporation that owns and operates the CN Tower, recently announced a $21 million investment to modernize the tower’s outdoor terrace level, maximizing year-round indoor viewing capacity, extending indoor observation and providing a new and uninterrupted glass floor.
In addition, the newly renovated space will feature state-of-the-art interactive video walls. One of the main goals of the redesigned space, slated to open summer 2022, is improved accessibility.
The improvements are part of the second phase of the CN Tower’s renovation plan which builds upon the $16-million main observation level renovation in 2018 that now features floor-to-ceiling glass “window walls,” which improve accessibility to provide nearly unobstructed panoramic views from 113 storeys above Toronto.
