AYR, ONT. — Quebec-based Techo-Bloc Inc. has announced it will be opening a new hardscape manufacturing plant in Ayr, Ont. in spring 2022.
The firm specializes in the design and production of hardscaping products such as pavers, retaining wall systems, patio slabs and masonry stones.
Techo-Bloc’s $45-million investment will create 50 local jobs, stated a recent release. The project is backed by $4 million in grants and loans provided by the federal and Ontario governments. The facility, Techo-Bloc’s ninth manufacturing plant, will be one of the largest industrial permeable pavement facilities in North America.
The plant will relieve production pressure on its other plants as Techo-Bloc prepares to meet forecasted production demand, the statement explained.
”We are thrilled to be establishing a presence in Ayr, Ont.,” said Charles Ciccarello, founder and president of Techo-Bloc, in a statement. ”We have always been trailblazers in the industry, and this move will help us continue to innovate and deliver high-quality products, while also supporting the local community.”
