TORONTO — Almadev has announced the launch of a new 30-storey residential tower as the next phase of its 15-acre community, LSQ, being developed in the Consumer Road Business Park in eastern Toronto.

The new phase, LSQ2, follows LSQ1, with LSQ short for Lansing Square. The Consumer Road Business Park has a workforce of nearly 20,000 workers, stated a release.

Upon completion, LSQ will feature 1,600 residences, including 160 affordable rental units, 489,000 square feet of commercial space and 100,000 square feet of parkland, retail and social space. The development also includes the preservation of two office buildings, which were recently awarded BOMA BEST Sustainable Building certifications, and 1.2 acres of new public parkland.

LSQ2 and LSQ1 are intended to be gateways into the community at Sheppard and Victoria Park. The two buildings were designed by Wallman Architects, with interiors by Truong Ly Design.

Amenities will include children’s play areas, a games room, sauna and steam facilities, indoor-outdoor fitness area, indoor and outdoor lounges and party areas, barbecue area, dining room, co-working lounge, recording/podcast studio, pet wash station and media room and sports lounge. Conveniences will include mail and parcel storage, lockers and concierge services.

LSQ2 features condominium residences ranging from 459 square feet to 1,185 square feet. Prices are from the $600s.

“This area of North York offers an incredible amount of untapped potential, and as the leading master-planned community taking shape in this area, we recognize the need to contribute to the growth of the area and bring needed housing options and diverse uses that will cater to present and future needs,” stated Rafael Lazer, CEO of Almadev, in a statement.
