Big-D Midwest completes affordable housing project in Minnesota

ST. PAUL, MN — Construction is now complete on Aster House, a multifamily affordable housing unit located in Eagan, Minn., Big-D Midwest, a subsidiary of Big-D Construction, announced recently.

The project is developed by Real Estate Equities.

Aster House, is a four-storey, 204-unit structure offering one-, two- and three-bedroom units. All apartments will be a high-quality affordable housing option to residents making 50 to 70 per cent AMI or less, states a release. The property sits on nearly seven acres, and additional features include a clubroom with kitchen, fitness center and underground parking.

“Aster House marks the fifth project that we have completed with Real Estate Equities and Kaas Wilson Architects team since 2019,” said Big-D Midwest’s senior vice-president and managing director Cory Schubert, in a statement.  “As always we are thankful for our relationships and look forward to the next project with this successful team.”
