MISSISSAUGA, ONT. — Pennsylvania-based building-materials manufacturer CertainTeed has announced the finalists in its Gypsum Trophy Awards competition, recognizing drywall design, installation, sustainability and craftsmanship.
The competition, hosted every two years, assesses drywall and finishing contractors in the U.S. and Canada for their design skills with gypsum. The awards gala will be held Nov. 10 to 12 at the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay, Calif.
There were six Canadian finalists announced: Daly Smith Contracting, Inc., Niagara Falls Entertainment Centre, Niagara Falls, Ont.; Integrale MT Construction, Complexe 4 Glaces, Gatineau, Que.; Interior Specialties-Marco, Memorial University CORE Science Building; St. John’s; Kerr Interior Systems, University of Alberta Dentistry Pharmacy building; Edmonton; QSI Interiors, Ltd., Stanley A. Milner Library, Edmonton; and Robertson Walls & Ceilings, YVR Pier D Expansion, Richmond, B.C.
Three U.S. companies and three Canadian companies will advance to the 13th Saint-Gobain Gypsum International Trophy Awards, competing among contractors from around the world in Athens, Greece, in April 2023.
