ADF signs deal to supply, erect U.S. industrial building

TERREBONNE, QUE. — ADF Inc. Group has announced it’s been awarded of a series of new orders worth a total of $142 million in the United States, including a major contract for the first phase of a construction project in the pharmaceutical industry in the midwestern region.

The new contract, which is the largest in the series of new orders, involves the design and engineering of connections and fabrication, the supply of steel and industrial coating, and the installation of the steel structure of a new large industrial building.

Production work will begin in the coming weeks at ADF’s plant in Terrebonne, Que. and will extend over 12 months. The project will be carried out largely using the firm’s new robot-assisted fabrication line.

“All work related to the fabrication and assembly of the complex steel components part of this building’s construction are entrusted to the know-how of our production teams,” stated the firm’s CEO Jean Paschini in a release. “Our recent investments in our infrastructure and in new technologies give us the ability to effectively meet this project’s requirements and our client’s ambitious targets.”

Negotiations have begun with the client for a second phase of the construction project.

The firm’s order backlog reached $376.5 million as of Jan. 31, 2023.
