The deal expands Empire’s presence in the U.S. to eight markets, including Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Atlanta, Chattanooga, Charlotte and Greenville, stated a release.
Covington Homes currently owns and controls 2,000 lots across 12 communities and targets first-time and move-up buyers. Empire is one of North America’s largest privately held homebuilders.
“Entering into the Colorado market marks a significant step forward in Empire’s growth strategy,” stated Dan Guizzetti, co-CEO of Empire, in a statement. “With this strategic partnership, we’re aligning with a well-established team that has a proven history of over 15 years as a successful operator in the Colorado Springs market.”
