We also have an interview between staff writer Don Wall and Tamer El-Diraby, the director of the Centre for Civil Informatics at the University of Toronto. El-Diraby recently delivered a presentation titled “Managing Social Media in Construction Projects” which covered not only new forms of communication but also how project planners can mine data from many sources to expand their knowledge base to make better project decisions.
