James Paul has been named president and CEO of Defence Construction Canada, the Crown corporation that provides contracting, construction contract management and infrastructure services to the Department of National Defence.

James Paul has been named president and CEO of Defence Construction Canada.
He has held senior management roles with Canadian technology companies for 28 years and is a founder of Halifax-based Impath Networks, a high-tech company.
Previously, Paul was managing partner, vice-president and general counsel of an Ottawa-based management consulting and investment banking firm.
Paul has held senior management positions with Newbridge Networks Corp. and was director of the legal department at Mitel Corp.
He currently serves as chair of the board of trustees for the Canada Science and Technology Museum Corp., a federal Crown corporation operating three national museums.
His position with Defence Construction Canada is effective Sept. 8.
The Ministry of Public Works and Government Services also has appointed William Pentney to the board of directors of Defence Construction Canada, effective immediately.
