CAF postpones National Apprenticeship Conference

CAF postpones National Apprenticeship Conference

OTTAWA — The Canadian Apprenticeship Forum (CAF-FCA) has decided to postpone the National Apprenticeship Conference due to the associated risks of the COVID-19 outbreak and recommendations by Canada Public Health.

The 2020 conference was scheduled to take place May 24 to 26 in Calgary.

“We would like to thank the more than 300 delegates who registered to date as well as our conference partners, exhibitors, speakers and vendors for their understanding and patience during these uncertain times,” states a release issued by the CAF.

“We are currently exploring a future date for the event and will keep you updated through both direct and other CAF-FCA communication channels. We look forward to bringing the Canadian apprenticeship community together at a future date when the health and safety of our participants, partners, colleagues and staff can be assured.”

The CAF is asking those registered to ensure any hotel and travel arrangements related to the conference are cancelled.

“We ask that you bear with us over the coming weeks as we navigate the administration of the decision,” adds the release.
