Fluor pivots to non-traditional oil and gas segments
Texas-based Fluor announced it plans to see 70 per cent of its revenue to come from non-traditional oil and gas segments by 2023. The company also announced at its 2021 Strategy Day event held Jan 28. It will improve the quality of its backlog work by making it more than 75 per cent reimbursable by 2024 as well as lowering and maintaining its debt to capitalization ratio corridor from 20 to 40 per cent in the same time frame.
Biiibo construction material platform expands to Vancouver
Toronto-based digital construction marketplace Biiibo has extended its platform to metropolitan Vancouver. The platform was launched in 2020 to let Toronto customers source construction materials on demand. Customers can choose between delivery options like scheduled, same-day, or express two-hour delivery, a Biiibo release stated.
SNC-Lavalin lands U.K. highways job
SNC-Lavalin today announced it has been awarded the design contract for a major highway in South Wales, in the U.K. Through its engineering, design and project management business, the firm will undertake design services for contractor Future Valleys Construction, including the twinning of 17.7 kilometres of single carriageway and designing junctions.
