Bird, Stack win modular award

Stack Modular and Bird Construction recently announced they have received a first-place award from the Modular Building Institute in the Permanent Modular Hotel Over 10,000 Square Feet category for their work on the Aqsarniit Hotel and Conference Centre in Iqaluit. The property is owned by the Qikiqtaaluck Business Development Corporation and features 94 rooms, a 5,000-square-foot conference centre, lounge, restaurant, gym, spa and commercial space.

Saskatchewan youth compete at virtual Skills Canada

Apprentices, post-secondary students and high school students from across Saskatchewan are competing at a virtual Skills Canada session today for a chance to move on to the Skills Canada Virtual National Competition scheduled June 15, 2021. The provincial competition wraps up April 16 and more information is available at the Skills Canada Saskatchewan website.

City of Calgary begins artificial turf field construction

The City of Calgary announced it has begun construction of a new outdoor artificial turf community field located at the Genesis Centre in the northeast area of the city. The project, a first for that part of the city, will replace the existing turf field and add a community gathering space. Design of the additional improvements will be available in coming months on Calgary.ca.
