Bridgit named top growing company for second year

TORONTO — A Canadian construction resource company is being hailed as one of the top growing companies in North America for the second year in a row.

Bridgit has been ranked on the Globe and Mail’s Report on Business list of Canada’s Top Growing Companies. The list ranks companies on three-year revenue growth and Bridgit made the list with accelerated three-year growth of 135 per cent and a revenue increase of 592 per cent on their Bridgit Bench product, a company release stated.

“It’s great news to be on the list for the second year in a row. Ultimately, it’s a testament to all the work we put into Bridgit Bench, which is one of the big drivers of the growth we’ve experienced over the past year,” Bridgit co-founder and CEO Mallorie Brodie said.

Bridgit previous launched their Bridgit Field product in 2014 and Brodie said the product grew in use throughout North America.

“It was a great foundation for the business and the growth of that product enabled us to make the list initially. The thing that accelerated our growth was Bridgit Bench,” she said.

In 2019, Bridgit launched Bridgit Bench, a construction workforce planning platform.

Future plans include branching out further to serve the construction industry, Brodie added.

“We’ve had overall success in North America in the construction industry focusing on resource planning for general contractors. The industry is massive and goes beyond general contractors and we want to bring out our product offering to more segments of the market,” she said. “That’s a major factor that will continue to grow our company.”

The company also recently raised a $9.4 million investment from Autodesk with support from EDC as well as existing investors BDC Capital’s Women in Technology Venture Fund, Salesforce Ventures, Sands Capital Ventures and StandUp Ventures.
