Fiera invests in U.K. solar-power projects
Ortus Energy Ltd., a U.K.-based solar-power developer, has announced that Canada’s Fiera Infrastructure will invest up to £100 million on Ortus’s commercial and industrial projects in the U.K. Ortus will manage the development and construction of the rooftop solar projects on behalf of Fiera. Ortus is part of the Integrum Power group of companies.
BPA merges with Clark Engineering
Montreal-based BPA yesterday announced it has merged with Clark Engineering of Edmonton. BPA is a building design specialist while Clark undertakes mechanical design projects for high-performance buildings including combined heat and power jobs. Russell Clark, founder of Clark Engineering, will manage the existing office in Edmonton under BPA’s name.
Campaign Day 18: leaders on the go
The leaders of Canada’s three major political parties have announced their agendas for day 18 of the election campaign. Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau released the Liberal Party platform today at an announcement in Toronto (more details to come). Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole will be making an announcement in Ottawa. NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh will make an announcement on housing in Montreal and will hold a virtual town hall meeting.
Nexii partners with Siemens
Vancouver-based Nexii Building Solutions is partnering with Siemens Corporation to utilize Siemens digital power distribution systems to speed production of sustainable building products across the U.S. and Canada. The partnership will include digitizing Nexii’s specialized manufacturing facilities and “layering energy-efficient power solutions on top of Nexii’s sustainable products as part of a Future Ready Total Building Solution,” a Nexii release stated.
