$72 million of equipment and vehicles sold in Edmonton auction

EDMONTON — Ritchie Bros.’ recent auction in Alberta saw $72 million worth of equipment and vehicles sold.

The auction was held online and at the company’s site in Edmonton. It attracted more than 15,000 bidders from more than 40 countries. Approximately 93 per cent of the equipment was sold to Canadians and 63 per cent to Albertans, states a news release.

The top three sellers at the auction were a 2013 ELRUS CH550 CP for $770,000, a 2023 Kenworth T880 Tornado F4 for $650,000 and a 2017 John Deere 944K wheel loader for $495,000.

More than 5,500 items were sold with 700-plus consignors.
