EDMONTON — Richie Bros. recent Edmonton auction saw more than 12,000 items sold for more than $225 million in transaction value.
The event was the company’s largest Canadian auction of the year.
Big sellers at the event included a 2020 Vermeer D220X300III Directional Drill for $825,000, a 2018 Caterpillar 374 FL VG hydraulic excavator for $610,000 and two 2016 Volvo A40G FS articulated dump trucks for $467,000 each, outlines a news release.
Richie Bros. also sold five VIP parking stalls at its site for charity, raising $72,500 for the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
More than 21,000 bidders were involved in the auction with items selling mostly in Alberta but some as far away as Egypt.
