TORONTO — Professional services company Turner & Townsend and Nuclear Promise X Inc. (NPX), a nuclear innovation company, have entered into a strategic teaming agreement to jointly pursue and deliver nuclear project opportunities across Canada.
The two-year agreement, with the option to extend annually, brings together Turner & Townsend’s expertise in project management and project controls with NPX’s nuclear sector knowledge and technical innovation capabilities, states a release. The initial focus will be on Canadian nuclear projects, with the flexibility to expand internationally.
“With growing demand for clean, reliable energy, Canada is experiencing a renewed push for new nuclear projects,” the release reads. “Nuclear energy offers a proven path to decarbonization, and Canada has the potential to add up to 30 gigawatts of new nuclear capacity by 2050 to help meet its net-zero emissions targets. By combining Turner & Townsend’s global project delivery capabilities with NPX’s nuclear innovation leadership, this collaboration is uniquely positioned to enable the next generation of nuclear projects.”
