Election 2021: Federal leaders on the go

With 17 days to go before the federal election, the main national party leaders have announced their scheduled public appearances for today. Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau is in Mississauga for a morning announcement. Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole will be in Montreal for an announcement and travels to North Vancouver, B.C. for an evening event with supporters. NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh is in Quebec City for an announcement of the NDP platform.

KPMG adopts mandatory vaccine policy

KPMG in Canada announced yesterday that all partners, employees, contractors and guests requiring access to a KPMG office will need to be fully vaccinated. In addition, all KPMG partners and team members going to a client site or an off-site location on KPMG business will also need to be fully vaccinated. The policy takes effect on Oct. 1.

Work begins on new Canada Line Station

The City of Richmond, B.C. and TransLink have announced ground has been broken on a new Canada Line Skytrain station. Capstan Station will have dual escalator sets, a larger concourse than current Canada Line stations, increased platform length and waiting space and commercial retail space. The $52 million investment between City of Richmond and TransLink is set to open in 2023.
