BC Housing and partners launch Decarb Lunch net-zero learning sessions

ZEBx, BC Housing, the Metro Vancouver Housing Corporation and Local Practice Architecture + Design are launching a Decarb Lunch Series webinar titled From Net-Zero Energy to Near-Zero Emissions. The online event happens on Oct. 29 from noon to 1 p.m. PT and will be emceed by Kira Pederson, project technologist in energy management at BC Housing. More information is available at zebx.org.

City of Calgary asks students to collaborate via Minecraft

The City of Calgary’s Downtown Strategy team is collaborating with Microsoft Canada, the Calgary Board of Education and the Calgary Public Library with Level Up, Calgary!, a program where students can use Minecraft to explore, create and prototype designs in a version of downtown Calgary within Minecraft. Jericho Lands moves to engagement phase

The Jericho Lands planning program is moving to its next phase of engagement with presentations of conceptual site plan options for public feedback. The Jericho Lands are a 36-hectare site in Vancouver’s West Point Grey neighbourhood and the plan shows versions of parks and public spaces, streets and pathways, retail areas and community gathering space. Those interested in participating can register for the online meeting on Oct. 18 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
