Massive construction vehicle stolen from Kelowna site
KELOWNA RCMP — A male suspect stole a 28,000-pound orange Skytrak Telehandler 10054 from a construction site in Kelowna, B.C. on Sunday evening (March 19).

KELOWNA, B.C. — A 28,000-pound machine lift was stolen from a construction site in Kelowna on March 19, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

In a release, the Kelowna RCMP said a male suspect was captured on video breaking into the site on foot from the highway side of the site near the 2100 block of Optic Court in Kelowna around 9:20 p.m.

He then stole a 28,000-pound orange Skytrak Telehandler 10054, drove the machine onto a semi-truck with a flat deck and fled into the night.

“The Kelowna RCMP is fully engaged and will use every investigational avenue in an effort to bring those involved to justice,” said Cst. Mike Della-Paolera, media relations officer with the Kelowna RCMP, in a statement.
