Sooke to receive wastewater treatment upgrade

The Government of British Columbia is putting $4.6 million towards an estimated $6.58 million wastewater treatment plant upgrade project for the District of Sooke, with the district providing the remainder of the cost. The existing sewage treatment plant will receive structural and mechanical upgrades and the local wastewater collection system will be extended to increase sewer capacity. The project is soon to enter the design phase, with completion expected in fall 2023.

Edmonton promenade project moves forward with design

The City of Edmonton’s Touch the Water Promenade in the Rossdale area is moving forward with the next phase of design work. Based on the second stage of public engagement, the city has developed a refined concept design. The public can review the design for the Rossdale area until Aug. 3 on the project site.

Studio Shed launches Canadian sales

U.S.-based Studio Shed today announced its expansion into Canada, opening e-commerce sales to Canadians this summer. Studio Shed specializes in prefabricated outdoor structures including detached home offices and accessory dwelling units. Studio Shed has seen an increase in sales of 150 per cent during the pandemic.
