The south side portion of an overpass being built at the intersection of St. Mary’s Road (Provincial Road 200) and the Perimeter Highway (Provincial Trunk Highway 100) is beginning to take shape in Manitoba.
The structure’s north side portion is a mirror image at this stage of construction. This phase will reconfigure the current at-grade intersection as a traditional diamond interchange with roundabouts and a bridge structure to cross PTH 100. St. Mary’s Road is also shifting slightly east to increase the distance from the Red River and provide a better crossing angle. Aecon is the contractor for this Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation project. The cost of the project is $135 million and this phase is expected to be completed in mid-2024.
