A Couple of Knights to Remember
Raymond Brunet, 2007 chair of the Canadian Construction Association board, and Paul Charette, CCA chair-elect, were “knighted” on the opening night of the conference.
A Queen Elizabeth II impersonator knighted the two men after she found her misplaced sword in her dress. When Charette noted to “Her Royal Highness” that he had been knighted once before she quipped, “Once a ‘knight’ is never enough they say.”
The ‘jewel’ that is the Construction Sector Council’s website
Canadian Construction Association delegates heard about “a jewel” the construction industry has at its disposal — the Construction Sector Council’s (CSC) website www.careersinconstruction.ca.
“It is a real winner with school boards and it helps provide materials for career events,” said George Gritziotis, Executive Director of the CSC.

Conference delegates were treated to an audience with “The Queen.”
