A worker puts the finishing touches on the exterior of the 46-storey Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Downtown Vancouver. The $420 million project consists of a 425-room hotel on 18 lower floors and a 173-unit luxury condominium on the 26 upper floors.
Construction started in August 2006 and is scheduled for completion in December 2009 or January 2010.
The general contractor on the project is 299 Burrard Development Inc. and the architect is James K M Cheng Architect Inc. Consultants on the project include: Jones Kwong Kishi (structural), Sterling Cooper & Associates Ltd. (mechanical) and Nemetz (S/A) & Associates Ltd. (electrical).
